Pro Team Profile: Joe Zampko

Joe Zampko is the kind of employee we wish we could Copy-Press-Repeat. Adair Homes gained much more than a Home Ownership Counselor when Joe came on board in our Central Oregon offices two years ago. We gained a team player, a stand-out customer favorite, and a man with moves: he can sing—and dance. Adair Homes is proud to spotlight Joe Zampko as this month's Featured Employee.

What made you interested in the construction industry? Ever since I was little, I've been fascinated by building tools and toys. Hammers, shovels, backhoes. Who didn’t want their own backhoe? I always thought it would be cool to build a house—and construction is the vehicle that gets people into their dream homes.

You’ve been with Adair two years. What keeps you with the company? The culture. The people. We have a phenomenal leadership team.

For what purpose does Adair Homes exist, from your perspective? Adair Homes is all about exceptional service. We are passionate about serving our customers and communities—and to that end, our goal is to expand our footprint in each region, and become the largest custom home builder wherever we exist.

In what ways does Adair Homes advance and communicate our purpose? Through social marketing, networking, team meetings, and the actions and decisions we make both inside and outside the office, we continue to tell people about our mission and our core values. That is what truly sets us apart from the competition.

What is the most exciting aspect of your job as a Home Ownership Counselor? Everyday I meet new Adair customers. They each have unique and specific needs—from altering the blueprints, to changing finishes. These people have a dream that they’ve been working their entire life for—and to be able to create that dream here at Adair—well, that is very exciting for me. 

What is your favorite memory (so far) at Adair? I loved going to the corporate Christmas party. Being able to see everyone face to face and interact with team members from across regions was a lot of fun. I really look forward to joining in on more of the whole-company activities.

Joe came down to our house this weekend and helped Matt with our retaining wall for a few hours and then when he had to leave for work he brought his son down to help for a couple more hours. This was so kind and we are grateful for the help they provided! He went above and beyond and I just wanted to pass it on to his manager because it really was appreciated! He took his own time and his families and it meant a lot to us! Pretty Awesome!
