With sweeping vistas, a temperate climate, and easy access to outdoor recreation, it’s no wonder many people want to build a home in Idaho. If you are moving to the Gem State from another area or simply upgrading from your current Idaho home, selecting the house-plan design that is right for your family is a big decision.

You have plenty of floor-plan options when you decide to build with Adair Homes; these are just a few examples to consider when building your new home in Idaho:

The Cottonwood: Compact and Cozy

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home has 1,094 square feet of living space for an individual or couple. The second bedroom and additional bathroom allow you to host guests without feeling too crowded and without compromising privacy. The first-floor master suite allows for single-floor living, and the overall small footprint cuts down on maintenance. A covered porch provides comfortable outdoor space in the warmer months, and this floor plan also offers an optional fireplace for optimal coziness on cold winter nights. Whether you are building a vacation home or downsizing after the kids have moved out, this compact floor plan offers ample space with minimal maintenance.

The Gallatin: For Growing Families

For families that need room to grow, this 2,080-square-foot floor plan provides either four bedrooms with 2.5 bathrooms and a bonus room, or five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. A great room that integrates with the kitchen and dining area allows you to keep an eye on the kids while preparing meals. For quieter times, an optional second-floor bonus room can serve as a playroom or game room. Alternatively, if your family is at the stage where an in-law suite is appropriate, you can opt for the dual-master option to afford sufficient privacy for everybody in the house. This floor plan is also a great way to get a lot of space on a narrow lot if you have limited space.

The Cashmere: Spread out on a Single Floor

If lot size is not a constraint, this three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom floor plan allows you to spread out over 3,120 square feet on a single floor. This floor plan is especially good for busy or active families that want to keep high-traffic areas more organized. A convenient mud room off the garage allows you to leave dirty shoes and athletic gear behind before entering the main space, and a foyer at the main entry provides another opportunity for keeping spaces tidy. The separate dining room, kitchen island, and kitchen nook offer various dining options for busy mornings, casual dinners, and larger family gatherings. If you enjoy soaking up the Idaho outdoors, consider the optional covered patio off the great room. The dual-master suite in this home also lends itself to multi-generational living, so the space can adapt as your family evolves.
