The Nation is Staying Home . . .

But, the build will go on.

What day is it? Monday? Thursday? Easter Sunday? As the days of Coronavirus count by, you might be tempted to think that all projects have been put on hold—baseball seasons, dinner parties, and worst of all—elementary school. That math is excruciating, isn’t it?

The good news is, if you can get past those pesky numerators and snack breaks, you might be surprised to learn that building projects are still moving forward—especially at Adair Homes. We have the distinct advantage of helping our clients build on their own lots—and that means that for the majority of our customers, subcontractors are not working in highly populated areas. This advantage of space allows our superintendents to continue checking-in on job sites without violating any local gathering restrictions.

Our superintendents are also equipped with the latest technology and remote project management protocols as an initiative to limit the number of people in our branch locations. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t within reach! Job superintendents can still complete virtual on-site meetings with customers, and are utilizing Docusign to further limit in-person interaction.

Jim Sattler, our VP of Operations puts it best: “Adair Homes is open for business and pushing ahead. Our sole focus is to build our customers the home of their dreams and we will continue to do so in a safe and responsible manner. It is a privilege to build homes, and a privilege to provide jobs in these challenging times. By working smarter together, we will make it through this".

Stay-at-Home orders issued by Oregon, Idaho, and Arizona highlight construction (both homebuilding and remodeling) as an essential service. Based on this language, Adair Homes is committed to our employees, our clients, and our subcontractors to continue the work in front of us—using safety first as our highest priority.

For those in Washington State, we understand that the Stay-at-Home, Stay-Healthy program precludes any kind of construction and respect that order. We remain in close contact with our partners, vendors, and subs so that work can commence as soon as it is safe to do so.

When it comes to warranty issues, Adair is likewise prepared to act with integrity and responsibility. We are happy to work with every one of our clients within their comfort level, either by extending the completion of warranty work and/or providing service with extra precautions (boots, gloves, etc.) in place.

You might not know what day it is—but that’s okay. We do. We’ll help you figure this out, one step at a time.

Yours in Homebuilding, Adair
