How Can We Help?

Our team of Online Home Consultants is eager to answer your questions about our unique process.

Melissa Lynn Galland

My passion for homebuilding dates back to early childhood when my father and uncle started up a construction company in California. After nearly two decades of marketing experience, I was honored to join the Adair Homes team in 2015. I am proud to promote our message of affordable quality homes so that even more future homeowners can realize their dream. Rooted in the PNW; you are likely to find me hiking, volunteering in my daughter's theater group, or curled up with a good book when I am not when I am not coordinating our advertising efforts or dreaming up creative concepts that might make the customer experience a little more enjoyable.

Step #5 - Completing Your Home Order

Posted by Melissa Lynn Galland on Feb 18, 2014 12:00:17 AM

Topics: Build a Custom Home, Financing

Now that your Adair Homes' Construction Manager has performed your Free Site Visit and we are helping you determine your site development costs, it is now time to schedule your home order with your Home Ownership Counselor!

This fifth step on your project simply ties the entire budget and project together. It's bundled up in a set of documents that can be forwarded to a lender of your choice to review for financing as well as provided to a local appraiser to help identify the value of the project. Completing your home order also allows Adair to complete your construction drawings! This is the fun part where you and the family get to pick out all of your interior colors and really bring your new Adair Home to life!

Once your home order documents have been completed, your Home Ownership Counselor will provide them to your lender so that your appraisal can be ordered. If the appraisal comes back with an appropriate value to make the project work, then it is time to fund your loan and build your new Adair Home.

We look forward to working with you and your family in the near future and helping put together your total project cost for building!

Step #4 - Determine Site Development Costs

Posted by Melissa Lynn Galland on Dec 12, 2013 12:00:42 AM

Topics: Build a Custom Home, Site Development, Finding Land

We've all heard the idiom "Leave no stone unturned". Well, it certainly applies when determining your site development costs. The primary reason for Adair Homes to provide a Free Site Evaluation is to help you uncover all the costs associated with developing your property. Remember the total project cost is determined by the cost of the land, the home, and the site development costs. The land and the home costs are very easily identified, but the site development costs are a different story. That is why Adair Homes "rolls up its sleeves" for you and your family to help you identify these costs. The Adair Homes' construction services department has great relationships with excavators, well drillers, septic installers, and others that can help provide written bids. This way, once you begin construction, you will know that you've done all the work necessary to make your project a success!

Step #2 - Choose a Plan to Fit Your Needs

Posted by Melissa Lynn Galland on Oct 15, 2013 1:00:46 AM

Topics: Homebuilding Tips, Floor Plans

One of the most important aspects of building a home is to pick a floor plan that fits your needs. Equally as important, your plan must also fit your budget. Your floor plan then plays a crucial role in the appraised value of your homebuilding project. In turn, appraised value identifies the down payment you will make when you fund a construction loan.

Plan Spotlight: Adair's 2659

Posted by Melissa Lynn Galland on Sep 27, 2013 1:00:00 AM

Topics: Custom Home Design, Floor Plans

There are many special features that make our 2659 model one of our most popular. These features begin when you walk in the front door. The den with the double doors off of the entry hall creates a very welcoming atmosphere. The oversized laundry room, which gives access from the garage to the entry hall includes a large number of cabinets, a pantry and a sink. Also off the entry hallway is the powder room for easy access by your guests.

As you continue down the entry hall you see the beautiful and large kitchen with ample storage and a beautiful, well designed island with sink. The open great room concept with the kitchen, dining and living all visible at the end of entry hall gives the home a spacious and open feel.

The large master suite on the main floor includes vaulted ceilings, a beautiful master bath and large walk in closet. This bedroom is separated from all others and provides a large degree of privacy.

At the top of the stairs you come into the bonus room. This is a large and very usable space. Depending on your family needs it can be a play room, home office, library, craft/sewing area… the ideas are endless. Also near the top of the stairs is a well located bathroom with dual sinks. The upstairs is complete with three roomy bedrooms with large closets and three hallway closets for extra storage.

The double car garage has one bay that is extra-long to give room for a work bench, storage or whatever your special needs are.

This value priced home has an incredible flow, both for daily living and for entertaining. Learn more about one of our most popular plans, including more gallery pictures and multiple virtual tours, by visiting our 2659 plan page.
