Jim Sattler, Vice President of Construction Operations comes to Adair Homes with over thirty years of experience in the homebuilding industry. His depth of knowledge is a major boon to our executive team, having worked in both the custom home sector, as well as the production-built side of construction.



Introducing Jim Sattler

“I think that the most valuable part of my experience is having seen both sides of the two generally accepted operating models. You have the big production builder that is well-capitalized, works with great systems and has a lasting legacy to work from, and then you have the custom home building model,” says Jim. “I have a unique perspective having been on both sides. What made Adair Homes so intriguing to me was how they were so successful at doing both—being a hands-on focused builder of value, and also carrying for the investment of their clients ”

“One of Adair Home’s unique characteristics is our operating model of the joint homebuilding experience. It’s the ability for customers to come in and decide how much or how little to do themselves. They can save money, build equity in the house—and it’s always fun and interesting when you get your family involved. 

As the VP of Operations, Jim oversees all the activities from the contracted sale, through pre-construction, the build-out, until the one-year warranty. It’s a job that puts him squarely between customer care and the construction team—and a valued position of leadership in our operations.

Jim has been with Adair a little under a year, woo’d by the people-centric focus of Adair Homes. 

“I was attracted to Adair Homes and wanted to become part of the Pro Team because of the people. As I considered the job opportunity, I looked closely at the way everyone worked together—I knew I wanted a dynamic group with chemistry. I felt that from the very first day,” says Jim. “The senior leadership team, the directors—the chemistry felt great from day one! I knew I could enjoy working with these people. It’s a great group of folks.”

After joining the Adair team, Jim was introduced to the BeONE Team concept—an internal business model wherein everyone works towards a common goal, can ask for help, and can expect help from coworkers within and outside their direct team.

“Collaboration is key. It’s readily apparent to me that we function as a team at Adair. At the core of the BeONE Team program is the idea of the team members being an extension of yourself,” says Jim.  “It really does feel like everybody is rowing in the same direction at the same tempo. You aren’t isolated in your own department working on a specific task—it’s all related to one larger effort.”

Jim found the existing Adair Homes’ employees to be a passionate, collaborative group of people, tirelessly working towards building their customers’ dream homes

As for the future, Jim says it’s nothing but bright.

“We are going to bring our building to new markets with our geographical regional expansion. We are getting involved in product development. We are touching new buyer demographics. I really think we have so much to offer in each of these categories. I look forward to watching the company grow!”

“It’s a great privilege to deliver a new home to a customer. I’m a caretaker of that investment. I’m helping them manage their money, their dreams, and their emotions. It’s extremely rewarding when you get to the end of that process and you have met or exceeded all of the customers expectations.”
