Find me on:

We all have that friend. You know the one. The one who never seems to have an ounce of clutter anywhere in her home. The one that doesn’t almost trip over toys, the one that doesn’t have mail and homework piling up on the counter, and the one who doesn’t even have a junk drawer. The one who makes us look at all the clutter in our own home with a deep sigh.

Well we have good news. It’s not you. Maybe it’s just your house.

The truth is that homes that were built even 10 years ago simply were not designed for the way we live today. Your life is like a high speed wi-fi and your house is like a dial up connection. You need a home that’s designed smart, built smart, and makes managing your home (and your life) easy.

Here are a few ways that Adair custom home floor plans help you stay organized.

Plenty of Pantries

We’ve all done it. Bought the same jar of salsa four times because we keep forgetting we have a perfectly good jar buried in the back of our cupboard. Pantries make the everyday task of getting dinner on the table easy with a well-organized display of all ingredients at your fingertips.

Our St. Helens, Caldera, and McKenzie are just a few of the plans that include walk-in pantries that will make grocery shopping a breeze and whipping up a last minute meal almost effortless.

Who knows? With the extra money you save on extra jars of salsa you can afford dinner out.

A Collection of Closets

One of the tell-tale signs that your home has become as outdated as a transistor radio is the size of your closets. Still trying to pack a Carrie Bradshaw wardrobe into a June Cleaver closet? (For the record, June Cleaver had great style.)

Don’t spring clean your closets every year. Instead, move up to a home with closets large enough to keep everything neat and tidy (yes, even the kids’ closets) all year round. Virtually all of our floor plans include a walk-in closet in the master suite. But our Marion, St. Maries, and Liberty plans feature something special: walk-in closets in the secondary bedrooms for better storage (and sanity).

Of course, at Adair you can customize almost any plan to make closets as large as you like.

Smart Storage

Who wants to see big down jackets in July? We don’t! That’s why we love plans like our Oswego and our Madison that feature extra storage space in the garage. It’s the perfect place to keep off season toys and gear out of sight.

At Adair Homes you can also add a garage bay or make your garage deeper to accommodate recreation vehicles, a shop, or other storage needs.

Beautiful Built-Ins

custom-home-built-insAt Adair Homes you’re never limited by an existing floor plan. You can add storage anywhere with a custom built-in. This is a great solution for gaming consoles, books, toys and more. You can add a built-in to the bonus room of our Mt. Hood or our Creston plan, in the loft area of our Jefferson or Cascades plan, or in the main living area of any one of our more than 30 home designs.

So this year, take a day off from spring cleaning and visit an Adair Homes Sales Center instead. Our Sales Centers are judgment-free zones with Home Ownership Counselors who can help you design a home that will have you saying adios to clutter for good.

(Just don’t forget to pick up some salsa on your way home.)
