Think building the home of your dreams is out of reach? At Adair Homes, we believe every family has the right to design a home that’s a perfect fit for their lifestyle and budget. For more than 40 years we’ve been building beautiful, high quality custom homes in the Pacific Northwest that our customers love.

How can we build dream homes at affordable prices? As one of the Pacific Northwest’s most trusted custom home builders, we build hundreds of homes each year. That gives us tremendous buying power with suppliers and we’re able to pass the savings on to you. When you choose to build with Adair Homes, you get all of the cost savings of working with a high volume builder and still enjoy the ability to personalize very aspect of your new home.

Here are just a few ways that you can make building the home of your dreams even more affordable for your family.

1. Location is Everything

Choosing the right lot can make a big difference in the cost of your custom home. Grading, tree removal, location and other factors can inflate your costs. At Adair Homes, we offer help in finding the right lot for your home based on the floor plan you choose.

2. Build for the Future

Dream homes are meant to span your entire life -- not just the life you have right now. Oftentimes, homeowners build for their lives now, and then downsize later when empty nester syndrome kicks in. Consider designing a home that’s perfect for your life now and in years to come. Moving less often can save lots of money over the years.

At Adair Homes, we offer a variety of custom home floor plans that are perfect for every exciting phase of your life. See all floor plans >>

3. Designer Looks for Less

At Adair Homes, our list of included features means that you can customize only what you want. For example, you may want to choose included features in the secondary bathrooms so you can splurge on that beautiful tile for your master bath. Or maybe you love the look of a designer kitchen (but not the price). Create the look for less by upgrading your backsplash only. No one but you ever has to know it’s not the pricey designer version.

4. Super Size a Smaller Home

Have you ever found a home with the perfect Great Room, but the kitchen was too small? Or how about one with a dreamy master bath, but a closet that was a nightmare? One of the best ways to save when you build a custom home is to customize a smaller home just where you need it. For example, instead of building our 2,512 plan for the optional second dual master suite and upstairs bonus room, you can build our 1,843 plan for a fraction of the cost and convert bedroom 2 into a second master suite and bedroom 3 into a media room.

With 35 floor plans to choose from, there’s no limit to what you can create. See all floor plans >>

5. Talk to a Team Member

Customers are often surprised to learn that customizations they expected to pay thousands of dollars for can be done for less money than they thought. The best way to create a realistic budget for your dream home is to get informed. Visit one of our Sales Centers and talk to a Team Member about what matters most to you and your family in your new home. Chances are we can help you find a way to make it a reality within your budget.

Even if you’re not ready to make a decision today about building your home, our Sales Centers are a great way to get the information you need to make a smart decision.
